I am loving my new Shaklee Life Shake! I drink a lot of smoothies and these smoothies not only taste amazing, but they have no artificial sweeteners, flavors, colors or any of the junk. They DO have all the nutrients to replace a full meal, which is always helpful for a meal on the go, like in the hustle of the morning rush to get out of the house and to school on time, or if you are too busy at work to go out, or you run out of the house without your packed lunch or pretty much any time! Love, love, love all the options and how I feel all day. I recently hosted a freezer smoothie workshop and it was a huge hit. If you would like to learn how to host your own and get 14 smoothies for free – let me know!

I’m not typically a fan of brussel sprouts, but I’ve been experimenting and this recipe is my new all time favorite – yummo! I can literally sit down and eat this whole recipe. Plus it makes a great side dish to anything. You’ll really surprise your BBQ guests with how tasty AND healthy this one is… [Read more…]

How I Gave up Soda {aka Coke} for Good
I wasn’t always a soda {aka Coke} drinker!
I call any kind of soda “Coke” {no not the illegal powdery stuff, but really maybe the brown fizzy liquid in the red can should be illegal} so let’s just get that clarification out of the way because to me the two words are going to be interchangeable in this post. There I said it – all soda is coke {for some that might be Pepsi or pop or soda pop or sodey – it’s all the same}. For me my addiction was to Diet Mt. Dew.

Unjunk your Diet™: Top 10 Rules for Eating Clean
So you want to Unjunk your Diet™ and start eating clean? Here are my top 10 rules to get started:
1. Eat organic as much as possible. Simply stated, organic produce and other ingredients are grown without the use of pesticides, synthetic fertilizers, sewage sludge, genetically modified organisms, or ionizing radiation. Animals that produce meat, poultry, eggs, and dairy products do not take antibiotics or growth hormones. Remember we are trying to unjunk our diet so eating organic as much as possible is key AND it doesn’t have to break the bank. If you can’t afford to eat all organic foods, then check out the EWG’s Dirty Dozen (the twelve most pesticide contaminated fruits and vegetables that should be purchased organically whenever possible), download the list {or get the app}.
