Back to the Basics Stir Fry

January 22, 2015 by Chandra Filed Under: Blog, Recipes

Basic StirFry 2

For the past few years I’ve been trying to make easy, yet delish and fancy recipes, which actually have turned out somewhat complicated.  I’ve come up with a good number of these recipes, which I need to post here 🙂 one day, but with our lives getting more and more complicated, we decided that 2015 would be about living a more simple life by getting back to the basics. So tonight, we did just that with our Back to the Basics Stir Fry! And you know what, it was de.lish.ous! And it took less than 30 minutes. Here is the recipe:

Back to the Basics Stir Fry

Ingredients

2-4 Chicken Breasts {organic or local if possible}
1/2 Onion
2 Bell Peppers of choice
2 Tbsp Olive OilBasic StirFry
1 small can of pineapple chunks {optional}
Sesame seeds {optional}

Sauce
1/2 Cup low sodium soy sauce
3 Tbps Hoison Sauce
1 Tbps Honey
1 in grated fresh ginger or 1 tsp ground ginger

Instructions

1. Cut chicken, onion and bell peppers into 1 in chunks.
2. Saute chicken with onion and olive oil.
3. While chicken is sautéing, mis all ingredients of sauce and put aside.
4.  When chicken is fully cooked, add sauce, bell peppers and pineapple and cook until veggies are cooked {we like our crunchy so we cook less}.
5. Server over rice or quinoa and top with a sprinkle of sesame seeds {optional}.

Yummers!  Enjoy!

Now it’s your turn

Let me know in the comments below what you favorite Back to the Basics dinner is?
