We are here to make a difference!
And I feel that each small step we make gets us closer to that goal. Nothing tears my heart out more than anything to do with kids hurting in any way. Kids fighting cancer, kids going hungry, kids in unsafe homes, kids being bullied! Kids should be outside playing and not worrying about anything but making mud pies and having fun!
I am so blessed and thankful to be in a position to give back to our community both financially and with time. Now I am no Warren Buffet, Bill Gates or Michael Dell, but I have committed to do what I can whether it’s running a marathon to raise money for a good cause, doing random acts of kindness, volunteering at a local soup kitchen or giving financially. Knowing that I can make a difference in the life of just one child is really heartwarming. While I wish we didn’t need any of these organizations, I do feel called to help as many kids as I can, which is why….
I am committed to giving a portion of my paid programs to organizations I believe in.
St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital
St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital’s mission is to find cures for children with cancer and other life-threatening diseases through research and treatment. And the coolest part – no family ever pays St. Jude for anything!
HealthStart developed a curriculum for preschoolers and their families because lessons young children learn often stay with them for life. These early life lessons can affect a child’s behavioral, social and self-regulatory capacities, cognitive functioning, and physical health.
